What a renovation leaves behind isn't ordinary dirt. Drywall dust is fine enough to stay airborne for hours and settle into every surface, seam and fabric in the home — then resettle twice more after the first clean. Post-Construction Cleaning is a specialist, multi-pass service using HEPA filtration, with the right products for paint flecks, adhesive residue, grout haze and joint-compound film. It's what turns a finished job into a home you can actually move back into.

Downtown Brooklyn and the surrounding neighborhoods renovate constantly, and in three fairly distinct ways. Tower apartments get kitchens and bathrooms redone within a fixed building schedule and strict contractor rules. Brownstones in the Heights, Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens get parlor floors reconfigured and rear extensions added, often over months, with the dust of a century of plaster released alongside the new drywall. And DUMBO lofts get built out inside enormous open volumes, where dust settles onto exposed brick, timber beams and ductwork twelve or fourteen feet up. Each needs a different plan, and only the third needs serious extension equipment.

We work in passes, because that's the only method that holds. The first removes bulk debris and the heaviest dust with HEPA-filtered equipment, strictly top-down — ceilings, high ledges, light fixtures, then walls, then surfaces, then floors. The second, once airborne dust has had time to settle, collects everything that fell during the first. A third detail pass handles what remains: paint flecks scraped from glass and hardware, adhesive and label residue removed from new appliances and fixtures, grout haze polished from new tile, joint-compound film wiped from window frames and tracks, and the inside of every new cabinet cleaned before anything goes into it. Vents and tracks get particular attention, since dust that settles there keeps recirculating for months.

Building coordination is a substantial part of this work in Downtown Brooklyn. Most towers vet every contractor, restrict work to particular hours, and need the freight elevator reserved — and a cleaning crew arriving without clearance simply won't get upstairs. We arrange all of it as part of the job, and we're comfortable coordinating directly with your GC around a punch list. Pricing is flat and quoted once we understand the scope, because a two-week bathroom refit and a six-month gut renovation are genuinely different jobs and averaging them serves nobody.
